Why our paper doesn't pill or flake

You know the feeling: little bits of paper left behind where you least want them. That's pilling, and contrary to what the big brands imply, it isn't just the price of soft paper.

It's a fiber-length problem

Pilling happens when short fibers, typical of wood pulp, rub loose under friction and roll up into tiny balls. The shorter and weaker the fiber, the worse it gets.

Lotions and softeners can mask the symptom for a while, but they don't fix the underlying fiber.

Long fibers hold together

Bamboo fibers are naturally longer and stronger, so they stay bonded in the sheet instead of shedding. The result is paper that stays smooth and intact through use.

No flakes on your skin, your glasses, or your floor, just paper that does its job and disappears cleanly.
